Apple has unveiled the latest iPhone 14 and its Pro models. The company has also dropped the mini version in the 14 series. The 14 Pro comes with some major upgrades while the base 14 variant has few slight upgrades when compared to the previously launched iPhone 13.

Display

The new iPhone 14 comes with a 6.1-inch screen and the Plus variant sports a 6.7-inch screen size. The iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Plus model comes with the same display type which we have seen in the iPhone 13 with a wide notch. Whereas the 14 Pro model has a change in its display which means you get to see a punch-hole display design. The OLED screen used in the iPhone 14 series supports 1200 nits of peak brightness and Dolby Vision.

The display size of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max is the same as that of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus which are 6.1 and 6.7 inches. Compared to iPhone 14 and 14 Plus the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max come with a pill-shaped punch-hole display marking the change in the display compared to the iPhone 13 series. The bezels on the Pro and Pro Max are thinner and feature a surgical-grade stainless steel frame. The display of both 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max has 2 cutouts consisting of Face ID components and the selfie sensor. Also, the notch allows checking the notifications.

Processor

The same A15 Bionic chipset has been used in both iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus which means it is the same chipset that we have seen in the iPhone 13 series but the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max features the new A16 Bionic chipset which surely will be faster.

Cameras

The new iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus come with a similar camera setup as that of the 13 series but the 14 series ships with a new 12-megapixel main camera sensor and has a larger sensor and 1.9micron pixels and supports OIS. The new iPhone 14 also comes with a new Photonic Engine to capture detailed low-light images. The company has claimed that the new 14 series will offer a 49% improvement in low-lighting photography when compared to the previously launched 13 series. For selfies there is a 12MP camera sensor which comes with support for a hybrid system with a TrueDepth camera, enabling faster focus, even in the low light environment.

The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max come with three rear sensors where the primary sensor is 48MP which is a major upgrade as the 13 series had a 12MP sensor. The second sensor is a 12MP ultrawide lens and the third sensor is a telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.
